Description
The european potter wasp exhibits a unique behavior of capturing and paralyzing caterpillars, preserving them in their nests as a food source for their larvae. This species has no significant health risks to humans as their sting is typically used defensively against predators. Being solitary, they contribute to local ecosystems as minor pollinators and pest controllers. Despite their benefit to the environment, large infestations can cause structural damage due to nest building activities.
