Description

Black-tailed bumble bee is a bumblebee species known for its unique behavior of 'nectar-robbing' from flowers. It feeds solely on nectar and pollen and is an integral agent of cross-pollination. As for distinguishing traits, it bears black fur on its abdomen, offset by red-orange fur elsewhere – a species-specific characteristic making it easily identifiable.
