Bombus pascuorum
Severity of bites

Severe damage. This can include life-threatening allergic reactions, transmission of serious diseases, or insects that have particularly painful or harmful bites or stings.
Description
Common carder bee is known for its unique habit of 'carding', where it combs plant-fibres to build nests, often in tall grass, hence the name. Primarily vegetarian, it devours nectar and pollen from variety of flowers. While it can sting, it's generally non-aggressive and poses little threat to human health.
