Description
Acanthocephala (scientific name: Acanthocephala) is a phylum in the animal kingdom. It is a kind of prosthetic cavity animal with a kiss on the front end and a barbed thorn on the kiss. Spiny-headed animals are parasitic animals, and the barb on the kiss is used to grab the wall of its host intestine. They have a complex life cycle and involve several hosts, including invertebrates, fish, amphibians, birds and mammals. There are only about 700 species.
