Description
Ground tiger (scientific name: Agrotis) is a genus under the Lepidoptera Noctuidae. Many of them have become extinct. Other species are mainly agricultural pests, and their larvae hide in the soil during the day and come out at night to bite plants or other crops in the garden, especially the seedlings of these plants. Due to the high protein content of larvae of this species, some Australian Aboriginal people consider it a gourmet.
