Description

The Anax genus, often spotted darting across water bodies, represents some of the largest dragonflies in existence. Contrary to what one might assume, these impressive fliers are voracious predators in both their naiad and adult stages. Their naiads are equally formidable, lurking in water to ambush unsuspecting victims, capturing prey as large as tadpoles and small fish.
