Description

Bothriuridae are nocturnal, often misunderstood due to common myths surrounding their venom and behavior. Contrary to widespread belief, Bothriuridae scorpions are not as dangerous to humans as their reputation suggests. Most species possess venom that is potent enough to subdue their small insect prey but is relatively harmless to humans. This misconception often leads to undue fear and eradication efforts.
