Description

Caraboctonidae commonly misconceived and labeled as 'horrors of the night,' these creatures are compelling subjects of misinterpretation. Despite common myths, they neither prey on large mammals nor possess venom deadly to humans. Adapted to arid environments, their agility and ferocious appearance lead to exaggerated tales of danger. Scientifically, their fascinating biology, including an extraordinarily fast metabolic rate and unique sensory adaptations, enables them to be effective nocturnal hunters of smaller insects and pests.
