Epipygidae
Scientific name: Epipygidae
Description
Like other Spittlebugs, Epipygidae secretes a foamy substance when it is young, covering its entire body and clinging to blades of grass. This foamy substance protects it from predators and keeps it moist from drying out. When it grows up, Epipygidae will grow wings and have stronger jumping abilities on its hind legs, so it will get rid of the foam and deal with survival crises in a more flexible way.
