Description

Members of the Lamponidae family, often found in Australia, defy the typical 'dangerous' reputation of spiders. Debunking a common myth, not all spiders in this family are venomous to humans. Indeed, they mostly prey on small insects and are harmless to larger creatures. These spiders are nocturnal and have an intriguing behavior of 'hitchhiking' on human belongings, which can startle people, but mostly depicts their opportunistic survival strategy.
