Recluse spiders
Scientific name: Loxosceles

Description

Known for producing necrotic lesions, the venom of Loxosceles spiders is potent but significant reactions are rare and often misattribated to them. Scientific studies suggest that many suspected bites are incorrectly diagnosed, leading to unnecessary fear and mismanagement. Interestingly, these spiders are reclusive and typically non-aggressive, only biting when pressed against human skin.
