Description

Some members of the genus Misumena are fascinating for their ability to change color to blend seamlessly with their surroundings, a process that can take a few days. Commonly mistaken for being venomous predators due to their hunting prowess, these creatures are actually harmless to humans. They use their camouflage not just to avoid predators, but to ambush their prey, making them skilled and patient hunters.
