Description
The fascinating Nepa might subvert your usual perception of aquatic predators. Neither fish nor fierce aquatic mammal, these insects actually employ a stealthy approach, lying submerged and almost invisible in shallow waters. They use their formidable front legs to grasp unsuspecting prey. Contrary to what one might think, Nepa are not venomous; instead, they rely purely on their physical prowess and ambush tactics to secure a meal, demonstrating an exceptional adaptation to their watery world.
