Penthaleidae
Scientific name: Penthaleidae
Description
Most Penthaleidae look similar, with dark bodies and eight thin red legs. They belong to the class Arachnida, which means they are more closely related to spiders than insects, but their diet is completely different. Spiders are known to be predators, but Penthaleidae are major agricultural pests in some areas, attacking a variety of grasses, vegetables and crops. Farmers are troubled by them.
