Taracid harvestmen
Scientific name: Taracidae
Description
This may be a bit subversive, but Taracidae is indeed neither an insect nor a spider. Taracidae is an independent group under the class Arachnida. It is not difficult to observe that they have more legs than insects (adult insects have only 6 legs), and they also have less body than spiders. They usually live in humid environments, such as the bottom of the forest and in rock crevices. Taracidae is omnivorous, and its food sources are diverse, which can be rotten plants, small insects and microorganisms.
