Scientific name: Thespidae
Description
Thespidae is a type of mantis with a slender body. They have protective coloration (usually brown similar to tree trunks, green similar to leaves, or mottled patterns similar to moss), which can better integrate into the living environment. This skill can simultaneously improve their hunting success rate and the probability of successfully avoiding predators. Some species of Thespidae also show stronger mimicry in their infancy. Some individuals will grow protruding structures that more vividly simulate the protrusions of stinging ants or moss, which makes people marvel at the survival strategies of these little creatures.
