Description

The Tigrosa genus, commonly found in North America, boasts some of the largest wolf spiders. These creatures are ground dwellers that rely on their excellent eyesight to hunt during the night. Contrary to popular belief, Tigrosa are not aggressive towards humans and their bite, while venomous, is not lethal to us. They play a crucial role in controlling pests, showcasing their ecological significance beyond their daunting appearance.
