Description
Tinea comprises species often dubbed as 'clothes moths.' Contrary to popular belief, it's not the adult moths that nibble on your sweaters; rather, their larvae are the true culprits. These larvae crave keratin, a fibrous protein found abundantly in natural fibers such as wool and silk, which explains their penchant for wardrobes. Fascinatingly, Tinea's survival strategy involves seeking out dark, undisturbed areas where their dietary needs can be met undetected.
