Description
Members of the genus Vanessa are widely recognized for their vibrant wing colors and patterns. Although often considered garden visitors, these butterflies play a crucial role in pollination. An interesting myth is that these butterflies have a very short lifespan; however, many species within Vanessa can undergo long migrations, which contradict the stereotype of their supposedly fleeting existence. Their migration is not only a survival tactic but also a magnificent natural spectacle worthy of admiration.
