Description
Distinct for their lack of a visible shell, species of Ambigolimax are often mistaken for worms. However, these creatures are indeed slugs, possessing a small, internal shell beneath their mantle. They are gastropods, showcasing a remarkable ability for moisture retention, crucial for their survival in damp habitats. Interestingly, Ambigolimax can be both predators and scavengers, displaying a flexibility in diet that defies the sluggish stereotype often associated with their kind.
