Description

Members of the genus Boisea are often noted for their vivid red and black coloration. Contrary to common belief, Boisea are harmless to humans, as they do not bite or sting. Their striking appearance is a form of aposematic coloration, serving as a warning to potential predators about their unpalatable taste. These insects primarily feed on plant juices, especially from trees.
