Description

The Euroleon genus larvae, often lurking unseen, includes species known as antlions 鈥?a name that belies their true nature. Contrary to the fearful imagery it might conjure, the Euroleon are neither ants nor lions. These insects executing an ingenious hunting strategy by digging conical pits in sandy soil to trap unsuspecting prey. Their patience and cunning are commendable, as they lie in wait at the pit's bottom, ready to strike with surprising speed.
