Description

Micromus, a genus of small, delicate insects often mistaken for tiny dragonflies. In reality, these creatures belong to the order Neuroptera, not Odonata like dragonflies. Micromus are fascinating for their predatory skills during their larval stage, where they feed on aphids and other pest insects, making them allies in biological pest control. Their presence in a garden speaks to a healthy ecosystem, performing silently behind the scenes to maintain plant health and balance.
