Description

Members of the Oxidus genus, often found in warmer climates, may seem like small and insignificant creatures. However, these millipedes play a crucial role in their ecosystems. Known for their ability to break down decaying organic materials, Oxidus millipedes enrich the soil by returning essential nutrients into the earth, thus supporting plant growth. Contrary to some myths, they do not bite or carry diseases harmful to humans but are harmless and beneficial decomposers.
