Description
Belonging to the family Pieridae, these creatures might be known simply as 'white' and 'yellow' butterflies, but there's more to them than meets the eye. Intriguingly adapted to their environments, some members of Pieridae demonstrate a remarkable ability of sexual dimorphism—males and females exhibit different colors and patterns, which is used not just for attracting partners but also as a strategy for protection against predators.
