Description
Podabrus are often seen on flowers and are mistaken for fireflies due to their soft, elongated bodies and similar size. However, unlike fireflies, Podabrus beetles do not produce light. They play a beneficial role in gardens as they prey on other insect pests and help in pollination. Their presence is a natural indicator of a healthy ecosystem.
