Description
The Coleoptera is a highly diverse group of insects, commonly known as beetles, that encompasses over 350,000 species, making up nearly 40% of all described insects. A common misconception is that all beetles are harmless; however, some species can be significant agricultural pests, damaging crops and stored products. Interestingly, while many people associate beetles with dull colors, they can display vibrant hues and intricate patterns, which serve as camouflage or warning signals to predators. Furthermore, beetles possess an incredible ability to adapt, surviving in nearly every habitat on Earth.
