Despite their tiny size, members of the Pulicidae family, are formidable in the animal kingdom due to their extraordinary jumping abilities. Capable of leaping over 100 times their body height, they possess the longest jump relative to body size among all animals. Many assume that their diet consists solely of blood, but in fact, juvenile fleas actually consume organic debris and flea feces until they mature.
