Description

Salpingidae, also known as Narrow-waisted Bark Beetles, as its common name implies, they often feed on the bark of trees and have a narrow body, especially with a prominent constriction at the waist. Most of the time, Salpingidae are believed to help decompose organic matter and promote nutrient recycling, but some species may cause some damage to trees in the process of feeding.
