Synchroa bark beetles
Scientific name: Synchroidae
Description
Synchroidae inherited the fine tradition of darkling beetles - the adult is dark in color and mostly active at night to avoid showing off during the day; the larvae often feed on rotten branches and leaves in the leaf litter. Their appearance is also similar to that of click beetles, which may be a survival strategy in the evolutionary process.
